Volkswagen Arteon Will Reach Russia With Two Motors

A vehicle type approval (OTTS) has appeared in the Rosstandart database for the four-door Arteon - a large liftback on the MQB platform, which is the closest relative of the Volkswagen Passat sedan.

• According to OTTS, Arteon will arrive in Russia with two-liter gasoline turbo engines with a capacity of 190 and 280 horsepower, as well as with front or all-wheel drive. In both cases, the motors work with a seven-speed DSG robot, but the fuel is declared different: for the base engine, the minimum octane number is 95, and the 280-horsepower unit is designed for 98th gasoline.
• The list of equipment of the Russian Arteon includes the obligatory ERA-GLONASS system, a parking assistant, an electric sunroof and a solar battery, adaptive cruise control, an additional heater with remote control and much more.

• In Europe, the motor range of "Arteon" is richer: in addition to gasoline "turbo fours", it also has two two-liter diesel units with a capacity of 190 or 240 horsepower. The gearbox is the same seven-speed robot. In Germany, prices for Arteon start at 41,145 euros, which is 2.85 million rubles.

• The Volkswagen Arteon replaced the Passat CC and was introduced in 2017. In Russia, it was supposed to appear in 2019, but the debut was postponed for a year.
