Rosstandart announced the launch of a recall campaign affecting 42,149 Subaru Forester, Impreza, Legacy, Outback and Tribeca vehicles. All of them were sold in Russia from 2005 to 2011.

- Defective Takata front passenger airbags were installed on the recalled vehicles. Moisture can penetrate into the casing of the gas generator, because of which it runs the risk of cracking and malfunctioning in an accident - metal fragments can seriously injure a passenger.
- The problem Subaru will replace the front passenger airbag gas generator. It will be free for car owners.
- Earlier, Rosstandart said that more than 1.5 million cars with defective Takata airbags are driving in the country. That being said, many car owners are unaware of or ignore recall campaigns.
You can check if your car is subject to recall using the “Recall Campaigns” service developed by Avto.ru together with Rosstandart.
