Rosstandart announced the recall of 19,087 BMW crossovers due to Isofix mounts. The recall campaign covered the X5, X5 M, X6 and X6 M models sold in Russia from September 2017 to the present.
- It has been found that when using child seats with Isofix anchorages and additional struts installed on the floor in the passenger compartment, the Isofix retaining brackets can collapse from fatigue. Because of this, child seats will not be secured securely.
- On recalled vehicles, an intermediate insert will be welded to the Isofix retaining bracket to increase structural reliability. Repairs for owners of crossovers will be carried out free of charge.
