Video: Toyota RAV4 Proved Impossible To Refuel "to Full"

The fifth generation ToyotRAV4 hybrid crossovers have a problem with the fuel tank, which prevents it from fully filling with gasoline. This became known to the publication Automotive News.

- American buyers of the new RAV4 have noticed that the crossover's fuel tank holds a maximum of 50 liters of fuel, while according to official figures, its volume is 66 liters. Several owners complained that they were counting on the declared range of 930 kilometers, but in fact it does not exceed 700 kilometers.
- Toyot's U.S. office confirmed the problem, but said it only affected some RAV4s with a hybrid powertrain. There may be two main reasons: either the hybrids initially have a smaller tank, but this is not indicated in the passport data, or the wrong parts were somehow installed at the factory that were required.
Toyot said it is currently investigating the incident. The causes of the problem and how to fix it should be reported later.
