Video: UK Carmakers Asked To Keep Duty-free Trade With & Nbsp; Europe

Representatives of the UK auto industry have asked the government to maintain duty-free car exports to European countries after leaving the European Union. In the event that customs duties do appear, this may negatively affect production volumes, writes Automotive News Europe.
Car production in the UK is mainly exported, so it is important for factories to maintain a duty-free trade regime. According to the plan, the UK will leave the European Union on January 31, 2020, but the current trade agreements will remain in force for another 12 months. By 2021, a new deal will be concluded, in which the British representatives want to achieve mutually beneficial terms of cooperation. In the UK, the production of Bentley, BMW Jaguar, Honda, Land Rover, Mini, Nissan, Rolls-Royce, Tata, Toyota, Volkswagen and Vauxhall cars has been established.
