Updated VW Passat Will Arrive In & Nbsp; Russia With & Nbsp; Two Engines

The Russian division of Volkswagen has revealed the first details about the versions of the restyled Passat prepared for our market. Diesel modifications and station wagons, including the all-road version of Alltrack, will no longer be sold in Russia.

• The updated Volkswagen Passat will be offered only in the form of a sedan, available with two variants of gasoline turbo engines. The starting point will be a 1.4-liter engine with 150 hp. (250 Nm), and the top-end - a two-liter for 190 forces (320 Nm). Both power units are combined with a seven-speed "robot" with two clutches, but in the basic configuration, the younger engine will be available with a six-speed "mechanics".
• The equipment of the Passat has matrix headlights (in the "base" there will be simpler LEDs), a multimedia system with a 9.2-inch touchscreen and an IQ.Drive complex with adaptive cruise control, a lane-keeping system and a blind spot monitoring function. All of these functions operate at speeds from zero to 210 km / h.
• Volkswagen Passat will appear at Russian dealers in the spring of 2020, and they will tell about trim levels and prices closer to the start of sales. The starting cost of a pre-styling sedan is 1,819,000 rubles.
