Video: Jeep Is Preparing A Competitor Suzuki Jimny

Jeep is developing a compact SUV that will be the main competitor to the frame Suzuki Jimny. The head of the marketing department of the European division of Jeep Marco Pigozzi told Auto Express about this.

- The length of the new Jeep model will be about four meters, so it will be larger than the Suzuki Jimny (3650 millimeters), but at the same time smaller than the current base crossover of the brand - Jeep Renegade (4236 millimeters). According to Pigozzi, the novelty will receive a decent level of off-road capabilities, but at the same time it will be suitable for daily trips around the city.

The compact Jeep SUV will definitely be equipped with a version with an electric motor. It is possible that the French company PSGroup (which includes Peugeot, Citroen and Opel), with which the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) concern has begun to merge into one corporation, will share its know-how for creating hybrids and electric vehicles.
- The four-meter Jeep SUV will go on sale in 2022. The premiere of the model may take place a year earlier.
