During the virtual presentation of the new Mercedes-Benz GL, the first image of the EQA electric model, which will be the brand's initial electric car, was shown in small detail. It was announced that the debut of the new item will take place in 2020.



- From the picture, the Mercedes-Benz EQ is an electric version of the new GLA: they have the same body and glass shape. The electric car will differ only in some details, such as rims with a more aerodynamically designed shape.

Mercedes-Benz has already shown a car called the EQA. She brought the Concept EQA compact three-door hatchback to the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. The car was equipped with two electric motors (one on each axle) with a total power of more than 270 hp. and accelerated to 100 km / h in five seconds.
- On the EQ concept car, a 60 kWh traction battery was located under the passenger compartment floor. The developers stated that the hatchback is capable of driving up to 400 kilometers without recharging, supporting wireless charging and connecting to any home and public charging terminals.
