Volkswagen showed design sketches of the Atlas restyled crossover, which is sold in Russia under the name Teramont. There was also a closed presentation of the model for American journalists. The Autoblog edition has shared some information about the new product.

Volkswagen Teramont will grow in length by 76 millimeters (up to 5112 mm), including due to the front bumper with a new design. It will feature shock-absorbing foam inserts designed to improve pedestrian safety. The grille and LED optics of the crossover are similar to the coupe Atlas Cross Sport.
- The list of options at Teramont will be complemented by 21-inch wheels, "sporty" aerodynamic body kit R-Line, wireless charging for smartphones, traffic sign recognition and modified adaptive cruise control with a full stop function.
- In the USA, it is paired with a two-liter "turbo four" with a capacity of 238 hp. four-wheel drive will begin to be offered, although such an option was immediately presented on the Russian market (our engine is deformed to 220 forces). The 280-strong aspirated VR6 3.6 will also remain.
- The North American version of the updated Volkswagen Atlas will premiere at the Chicago Auto Show in February 2020. The crossover will go on sale in the US in May of the same year.
