
Video: Russian Automakers Are On The Verge Of Falling Production Volumes

From January to October 2019, Russian production of passenger cars stopped at last year's level: 1 million 283.2 thousand cars were assembled at the factories. Among them there are 348.5 thousand cars of domestic brands, which is 6.2% more than a year ago. The decrease in the rate of production of foreign cars increased to 2.1% (against 1.2% in 9 months): 934.7 thousand cars were assembled.
The share of cars of domestic brands in the total volume of production repeated the record result of September - 27.2% (plus 1.6 points), according to the analytical company "ASM-holding".
Production of Lad cars increased by 6.9% in 10 months. However, the company's sales in Russia in the first autumn months were not very good and from January to October 2019 added only 1% to last year's total (295.4 thousand units).
The largest car manufacturers of Russian brands have achieved the following results:
- LADA Togliatti - plus 6.3%;
- LADA Izhevsk - plus 9.2%;
- ChechenAvto (Lada) - minus 8.3%;
- UAZ - minus 9.3%.
The main Russian manufacturers of cars of foreign brands were in the black:

Automobile plant "GAZ", Nizhny Novgorod (contract assembly of Skod and Volkswagen) - plus 16.1%;
- Avtotor, Kaliningrad (BMW, Hyundai, Kia) - plus 7.3%;
- Mazda Sollers Manufacturing Rus, Vladivostok - plus 9.9%;
- PSMA RUS, Kaluga (Citroen, Mitsubishi, Peugeot) - plus 7.9%;
- Renault Russia, Moscow - plus 1.2%;
- Toyota Motor, Nissan Manufacturing Rus and Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Rus, St. Petersburg - in aggregate plus 0.6%;
- Volkswagen Group Rus, Kaluga (Volkswagen, Skoda) - plus 6.5%.
At the Russian Haval plant in the Tula region, a full-fledged production of three models has been established: the F7 and F7x crossovers and the H9 large SUV. Also, production volumes are growing at the new Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Rus plant in the Moscow region. In total, 2 enterprises in 8 months (the Mercedes plant has been operating since March, the Hawale plant since June) assembled about 6 thousand cars.
The negative dynamics in relation to foreign cars is associated with the departure of Ford cars from Russia and, accordingly, with the end of production. 4 models of the brand were produced at two factories. In addition, by the end of October 2018, the assembly of the mass Nissan Almera was established in Russia. The end of production of the model had a negative impact on the overall dynamics.
Manufacturers shipped to dealers by 0.8% fewer cars than in January-October 2018 - 1 million 235.8 thousand units. According to Avto.ru, during this period, 1 million 276.2 thousand new passenger cars were registered in the traffic police - 2.3% less than in the first 10 months of 2018.
