Video: Tesla On Autopilot Crashed Into & Nbsp; Police Car

In the early morning on a highway in the US state of Connecticut, TeslModel 3 was rammed by two cars, including a standing policeman Ford Taurus Interceptor. The driver of the electric car said that Tesla was driving in autopilot mode.

-
The police stopped at Route 95 to help the stalled crossover. They were waiting for the tow truck near the broken car, and the patrol car was parked with the lights and flashing lights on. But Tesla's autopilot did not notice the obstacle and crashed into both cars at high speed. Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident.
- The driver of TeslModel 3 said that at the moment of the impact he was not looking at the road - he was distracted by his dog sitting in the back seat. The police gave him a subpoena, accusing him of sloppy driving.
Connecticut Senator Richard Blumenthal commented on the crash, saying a bill should be passed to ban advanced adaptive cruise controls, which include Tesla's autopilot. According to him, the law should be in effect until "the safety of people is ensured."
