Video: Audi Has Set Up The Assembly Of The Q7 In Kaliningrad. But Soon They May Refuse To & Nbsp

A pilot batch of Audi Q7 crossovers has left the assembly line of the Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad, where BMW, Genesis, Hyundai, Ki and Ford trucks are assembled. A total of 250 cars were produced. However, there will not be a full-fledged launch of production in the near future, and now the issue of continuing cooperation is being discussed, Kommersant reports.

-
SKD of Audi models at this plant was discussed back in the fall of 2018. For the Q7, they even received a vehicle type approval (OTTS), which, however, ended on July 31, 2019.
-
The Kaliningrad automobile plant has signed a special investment contract (SPIC) for the screwdriver assembly of manufactured cars, which gives access to government subsidies. By 2028, the volume of production of such machines will be reduced to 35 thousand units per year. Along with this, about 300 thousand machines with localized welding and painting will be produced.
- The full launch of production of the Audi Q7 is under discussion due to the need to include the brand in the SPIK. Without this, the enterprise will not be able to access compensation for the waste collection.
- If the negotiations are successful, then the older Audi Q8 can also get onto the Avtotor conveyor along with the Ku Seven.
Now Audi sales in Russia are noticeably worse than those of competitors. At the end of 10 months, dealers managed to sell only 12.8 thousand Audi (minus 1%), while BMW and Mercedes-Benz dealers sold 33.9 thousand cars (plus 16%) and 33.4 thousand (plus 7 %) respectively.
