Video: The Ministry Of Internal Affairs Will Create A Mobile Application For Fixing Traffic Violations
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, together with the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications, plans to develop a mobile application for fixing traffic violations. This was reported by the RIA " agency.
- It is planned that the new service will work throughout the country. With its help, it will be possible to record the violation on video and immediately send the video to the police, through the State Services. The issue of a reward system for application users is also being resolved.
- However, the authors of the idea note that before launching the service, it will be necessary to amend the administrative legislation. So far, drivers cannot be held administratively liable for traffic violations that were filmed with an ordinary photo or video camera.
In the summer of 2019, the Supreme Court banned the issuance of rulings recorded through the Moscow Assistant app. The department explained that a violation can be fined only if it was removed using special devices for automatic recording of violations, and smartphones and other mobile devices do not fall into this category.
