In South Korea, a camouflaged Hyundai pickup is photographed in a parking lot. The first snapshot of the prototype was published by the Clien portal.

- The pickup has a double cab and a short cargo platform. The overall proportions and shape of the side windows are reminiscent of the Hyundai SantCruz concept car, which debuted back in 2015. The concept car had a monocoque body and, possibly, the production model, which will receive the same name, will also not be framed.

-
According to rumors, the Hyundai pickup, which so far bears the NX4 OB in-plant index, will be built on the same platform with the new generation Tucson crossover (its index is NX4). SantCruz will receive a petrol 2.5-liter aspirated (on the new Sonata, this engine develops 180 hp), as well as a hybrid version.
- Earlier, Hyundai announced that in 2021 it will begin mass production of the Hyundai SantCruz at its Alabama plant, which now produces the SantFe crossover, as well as the Elantr and Sonata sedans. $ 410 million will be allocated to modernize the enterprise for the new model, and an additional 200 jobs will be created at the plant.
