Jaguar has unveiled an updated version of the F-Type coupe and roadster. The models have changed a lot in appearance, received additional options, but there are practically no technical changes.
The all-new front end with narrow headlights (optional full diode) and an enlarged grille is made in the style of the restyled Jaguar XE sedan. The taillights have changed and become more angular, the hood has got large ventilation holes, and the design of the bumpers has been slightly redone.
- The most notable innovation in the cabin is the 12.3-inch all-digital instrument cluster, which replaces the analog dashboard. The rest of the interior design has been preserved almost without metamorphosis. The multimedia system with a 10-inch touchscreen display has learned to update "over the air".
- The range of engines has undergone minimal changes. The basic 300-horsepower two-liter "turbo four" has been preserved, but the 340-horsepower V6 has disappeared - only the 380-horsepower version remains. The five-liter V8 with a compressor is now available only in 450 and 575 horsepower versions. The latter is installed on the R-version, although it was previously equipped with the top-end SVR modification.
Eight-cylinder Jaguar F-Type got the Quiet Start function. In this mode, for more silence, the engine is started with closed exhaust flaps. In the R-version, the model was equipped with a stiffer suspension and an eight-speed "automatic" modified for fast shifting. The drive type is still rear or optional full.
Europe is already taking orders for the updated Jaguar F-Type, and the first deliveries of cars will start in early 2020. The cost of the base coupe is 64,200 euros (4.56 million rubles), and the roadster - 71,200 euros (5.06 million rubles).
