Skod company showed new design sketches of the upgraded SkodRapid liftback. The model, which has been in production since 2012, will be updated for the second time, and now there are many changes awaiting it. The release of new items will begin in the winter of 2020.
- The updated Rapid will be made in the current corporate style of the brand - with narrowed headlights (in rich trim levels, all optics will be LED), an enlarged radiator grill and lights that go onto the tailgate, on which instead of an emblem there is a large SKODA inscription. The shape of the glazing and embossing on the sidewalls remained unchanged.

Earlier, the Chinese Ministry of Industry published photos and some characteristics of the updated Rapid. Because of the bumpers of the new shape, the length of the liftback increased by 29 millimeters (up to 4512 mm), and the only engine offered in the Celestial Empire is still a 110-horsepower aspirated 1.5, which is combined with a five-speed "mechanics" or a six-speed "automatic", depending on version.
The official premiere of the restyled SkodRapid liftback will take place in Russia until the end of 2019. As it became known to Avto.ru, the production of the model in Kaluga will begin in February 2020.
