A photo of the second-generation Hongqi H7 sedan appeared on the web, on the appearance of which Giles Taylor, the former chief designer of Rolls-Royce, worked. In 2018, he took a similar position at the premium brand Hongqi (Red Banner), owned by the Chinese concern FAW.

-
The new Hongqi H7 is Taylor's first production model. The sedan is reminiscent of Rolls-Royce in the design of the headlights, a massive radiator grille with vertical slats and two-tone paintwork. The company previously released official teasers showing a sloping roof and a short boot lid.
- The Chinese sedan will receive a two-liter turbo engine, combined with an eight-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches. From the characteristics, it is still known that the maximum torque will be 380 Nm. The drive type will be rear or optional full.
- Serial production of the second generation Hongqi H7 will begin in May 2020. Outside of China, the premium brand is not represented, although it plans to enter the European market: two concept cars debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show - the S9 hybrid coupe and the E115 electric crossover.
