Video: Import Of Foreign Cars Without Era-Glonass Will Continue In The Far East
In the Far East, the permit for the import of right-hand drive used cars that are not equipped with the Era-Glonass system will be extended for another year. The corresponding document has already been agreed and is awaiting signing, reports TASS.
- On November 26, 2018, a document was signed in the Far East simplifying the import regime for such vehicles throughout the year. According to him, the installation of a state automated system for imported used "right-hand drive vehicles" is not required.
- Residents of the district asked to extend the moratorium of officials. Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev said that the document is already ready, agreed upon and is now being signed by the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.
If the imported vehicle is not equipped with Glonass, it will not receive a wheeled vehicle safety certificate, that is, in fact, a permit for operation. The document confirms that the design of the vehicle meets the current safety requirements. The cost of installing the system on average ranges from 5 to 10 thousand rubles.
Era-Glonass is an automated system that, in the event of an accident, sends data with the coordinates of the incident to emergency services and at the same time automatically contacts the call center operator. Also, the driver can independently "call" the operator if necessary.
