New Renault Sandero Will Be A Hybrid

Renault is working on the third generation of the Sandero budget crossover - recently, photo spies caught a camouflaged prototype. As it became known to the French edition of L'Argus, the model will become a hybrid for the first time.

• The European version of the Sandero, which is marketed under the Dacia brand, will be built on a simplified CMF-B platform. The Renault Clio hatchback and the Nissan Juke crossover have already debuted on the basic version of the base. This will allow the introduction of a 140-horsepower hybrid installation on Sandero, consisting of a 1.6 gasoline aspirated and an electric motor.

• In addition to the hybrid, Sandero will receive a liter gasoline "turbo-three" with a capacity of 75 and 100 hp. and an 85-horsepower 1.5-liter turbodiesel. They will be combined with a five- or six-speed "mechanics", as well as with an automatic transmission.
• It is expected that the European version of the new hatchback DaciSandero will be presented in the summer of 2020 along with the Logan sedan. In Russia, models sold under the Renault brand will be updated later in a different scenario.
