Mazd has published a sketch of the racing supercar RX-Vision GT3. It will be fully declassified in 2020, but it will not appear outside the racing simulator Gran Turismo.

- The virtual supercar is very similar to the RX-Vision rotary concept unveiled at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show. The differences lie in the large wheels, aggressive splitter, side skirts and wide wing.

It has been announced that the RX-Vision GT3 will have a 48:52 weight distribution in favor of the rear axle, and the rotary engine will be located in the so-called front-mid-engine layout - when it is installed in front of the cab, but does not extend beyond the front axle. Curiously, in September Mazd patented a space frame made of carbon and aluminum with the exact same design.
- Mazd is rumored to be developing a rear-wheel-drive supercar called the RX-9. The production version of the model is expected to debut in 2020 for the brand's centenary.
