On the Russian market, the Sonata will be offered with two gasoline atmospheric engines to choose from - a 150-horsepower two-liter (from 1,499,000 rubles), known from its predecessor, and a new 2.5-liter with 180 hp. (from RUB 1,759,000). Both engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.
From November 20, only the version with the most powerful engine will go on sale. Two-liter Sonatas will appear at Russian dealers in early 2020, and information about their equipment will be disclosed later.
A total of three trim levels are available for the Hyundai Sonat with a 2.5-liter engine. The basic Elegance (from 1 759 000 ₽) has LED optics, front and rear parking sensors, stabilization system, six airbags, 12.3-inch digital dashboard, heated steering wheel, combined leather and fabric trim, dual-zone climate control, multimedia system with eight-inch screen, wireless charging for smartphones.
The Business package (from RUB 1,849,000) adds ventilation and power adjustment of the front seats (for the driver - with memory settings), leather interior trim, a Bose audio system with 11 speakers and subwoofers, a 10.25-inch monitor for multimedia and all-round cameras.
The top version of the Prestige (from 1,999,000 rubles) is complemented by an eight-inch head-up display, curtains on the rear side windows and the Smart Sense complex, which includes adaptive cruise control, a blind spot monitoring system and an assistant for tracking lane markings.
The production of a new generation Hyundai Sonat for the Russian market has been established at the Avtotor Kaliningrad plant.
