The Los Angeles Auto Show premiered the hot MINI John Cooper Works GP. The novelty, on which the British company announced work back in 2017, received a motor with a capacity of over 300 horsepower, a chassis prepared for the track and a limited edition.

Under the hood of the three-door MINI JCW GP is a forced two-liter turbocharged "four" from the BMW X2 with a capacity of 306 hp. (450 Nm). For comparison: the top-end MINI without the GP prefix is weaker by 75 forces. From standstill to 100 km / h, the novelty accelerates in 5.2 seconds, and the maximum speed is 265 km / h.
- The most powerful MINI engine is mated to an automatic eight-speed gearbox with paddle shifters that rotates the front wheels. The GP drive uses a mechanical differential lock.
- The charged hatchback received an aggressive body kit with a large wing and unusual arches made of carbon fiber, a sports exhaust, reinforced brakes with four-piston calipers in the front, a 10 mm lowered suspension with track settings, light 18-inch wheels and a lightweight interior without rear seats (instead of them - a large spacer).
The hot new MINI is ready for the series, with a limited edition of 3,000 pieces. The first deliveries of the cars will begin in March 2020, and the initial cost of the JCW GP in the UK will be 33,895 pounds sterling (2.8 million rubles).
