Volkswagen has unveiled the concept ID. Space Vizzion. He hints at the appearance of a practical electric station wagon in the model range of the brand.

• Streamlined ID. Space Vizzion is built on the MEB global electrical platform and uses a 279-horsepower electric motor with an 82 kWh lithium-ion battery. The power unit is located at the rear and rotates the rear wheels accordingly. The power reserve of the novelty is 590 kilometers according to the WLTP cycle or 483 kilometers according to the American EPA standard.
• Optional ID. The Space Vizzion can be all-wheel drive: with an additional electric motor on the front axle, the total power of the unit rises to 360 hp, which according to VW estimates will provide good dynamics. From zero to 60 mph (96.5 km / h), the all-wheel drive station wagon is capable of accelerating in five seconds. The maximum speed is limited to 175 kilometers per hour.
• The design of the 4.96-meter concept echoes other models in the ID line. The décor uses a variety of lighting elements and recyclable materials. The conceptual novelty turned out to be very streamlined: the drag coefficient ID. Space Vizzion is 0.24 - like, for example, TeslModel S.

• The interior is as laconic as possible, and communication with the car is carried out through a large 15.6-inch multimedia screen. Driver ID. Space Vizzion receives the information it needs through a small screen in the front panel as well as a head-up display. The station wagon's interior upholstery consists of a blend of polyurethane and apple waste, and the boot has magnetic skate mounts.

Volkswagen explained that the production electric station wagon will target Europe, North America and China. The production model should appear in 2021.
