In South Korea, in a parking lot, a passerby photographed a camouflaged car that is the prototype of the Kia crossover. According to the local publication Bobaedream, the model will become the most compact and affordable among the brand's SUVs.
- The budget crossover Kia, which so far carries the in-plant code QYI, will be built on the basis of the four-meter Hyundai Venue. Even through camouflage, it is clear that the novelty will receive the usual front optics (and not two-tier, like the Venue) and small windows in the rear pillars.
The captured prototype is right-hand drive - first of all, the model is created for the Indian market. At the same time, it is possible that the SUV will be sold in other countries, because Venue is also available in the United States and South Korea.
- It is obvious that QYI will also borrow power units from the Hyundai Venue, which is offered on the home market with a naturally aspirated 1.6-liter gasoline engine with 123 hp. It is combined with a six-speed "mechanics" or variator, and the drive type is only front.
- The premiere of the budget crossover Ki will take place in the first half of 2020, and it will go on sale in the summer. The cost can be guided by Venue - it starts at 14,730,000 won (810 thousand rubles).
