Video: 620-horsepower Coupe Ferrari Named After The Capital Of Italy

Ferrari has unveiled a coupe called the Roma. The entry-level sports car (in comparison with other models of the brand) is equipped with a biturbo V8 located in front of the wheelbase - previously in the model range of the Italian brand there was no such combination.

- Ferrari Rom is built on the chassis of the Portofino coupe-cabriolet and uses the same 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8, only boosted from 600 to 620 hp. at a constant torque of 760 Nm. The seven-speed preselective gearbox on the novelty was replaced by an eight-speed "robot" with two clutches.
-
The coupe is 73 kilograms lighter than the original convertible: the Rom's dry weight is 1,472 kilograms. Thanks to this, as well as the increased power, the acceleration to 100 km / h in the novelty takes 3.4 seconds versus 3.5 seconds in the Portofino, and to 200 km / h - 9.3 seconds instead of 10.8. The top speeds of both models exceed 320 km / h.
- The exterior of the Ferrari Rom is made in a minimalist style without the use of sharp edges. Designers were inspired by the front-engined Ferrari models of the 1960s and 1970s, such as the 250 GT BerlinettLusso and 365 GTB / 4 Daytona. The length, width, height and wheelbase of the novelty are equal to 4656, 1974, 1301 and 2670 millimeters, respectively.
- The interior of the Rom meets a new architecture with a massive center console, which houses a vertical display for multimedia and climate control. In front of the passenger is a Ferrari-branded additional touchscreen display. There is no second row behind the two armchairs - only a small shelf for things.
Ferrari has not yet announced the launch date and the cost of the Roma coupe. But you can focus on the sister coupe-cabriolet Portofino, prices for which in Europe start at 190 thousand euros (13.4 million rubles).
