In the US, a customizer built The Big BananCar in 2011, a seven-meter banana car based on a 1993 Ford F-150 pickup truck. Later, Steve Braithwaite decided to go on a trip around the country and on the way, a curious incident happened to him. According to the MLive portal, in the city of Kalamazoo, Michigan, the car was stopped by a policeman. He checked the lighting technician's work and asked for a license, and Steve accidentally gave him his debit card. Realizing the mistake, Steve replaced the credit card with a license card, but after checking the driver's license, the law enforcement officer returned the document, wrapped in a $ 20 bill.
Braithwaite took the driver's license with the money and returned to the car without even asking about the bill. Later, he guessed that the policeman had read a sign attached to the rear bumper of the banana car, which says that anyone can ride an unusual car and pay any amount that goes to charity. Apparently, the policeman also decided to take part in the action.
- Despite its unusual body, The Big BananCar, devoid of a roof, can accommodate four people sitting one behind the other, and the maximum speed of this car is 137 km / h. It is also registered by the Guinness Book of Records as the longest banana car in the world, but it is unique, therefore it can also be considered the shortest.
