Two Opel Models Are Certified In Russia

Rosstandart has published documents on the Opel ZafirLife minibus and Vivaro van. The certificates were issued according to a simplified scheme, adding new items to similar Citroen and Peugeot models, which have been sold on the Russian market since 2017. All cars will be assembled in Kaluga in a full cycle with welding and body painting.

• According to certification documents, Opel ZafirLife will be offered on the Russian market in six-, seven- and eight-seat versions. The minibus is equipped with a choice of two turbodiesel engines: 1.6-liter with 95 hp. or two-liter for 150 forces. The basic motor is combined with a five- or six-speed manual transmission, and the older one is combined with a “mechanics” or “automatic” with six gears.

• The cargo Opel Vivaro received a version of the 1.6 turbodiesel derated to 90 forces, and a version with an automatic transmission is not available for a 150-horsepower engine. Depending on the modification, the carrying capacity of the model ranges from 800 to 1300 kilograms. Opel's drive type is front only.
• The list of available Opel ZafirLife and Vivaro equipment includes front power windows, stabilization system, driver airbag, tire pressure monitoring system, climate control, side airbags and rear parking sensors.

In the spring, Opel announced that it would resume car sales in Russia in the fourth quarter of 2019. In addition to the minibus and van, the Grandland X crossover, built on the basis of the Peugeot 3008, will appear in Russian dealerships, but the certificate for this model has not yet been issued.
