Ford has partnered with automotive component manufacturer Webasto to create the Mustang Lithium all-electric coupe. The prototype was presented at the SEM tuning show in Las Vegas.

  • Ford Mustang Lithium is equipped with an electric motor with a capacity of over 900 horsepower and 1355 Nm of torque. For some reason, a huge amount of traction is transmitted to the rear wheels using a manual transmission with six gears. At the same time, all serial electric vehicles use one- or two-stage gearboxes, because the electric motor is always at its peak power.

  • Like the Porsche Taycan, the Mustang's traction battery is energized at 800 volts, double that of conventional electric cars. This solution allows you to reduce the total weight of the electrical wiring. Unfortunately, the creators of the Ford Mustang Lithium did not talk about the technical characteristics of the coupe with an unusual "filling".
  • The body panels of the coupe are partially made of carbon, transparent polycarbonate windows are inserted in the bonnet, an additional strut is placed between the A-pillars, and the suspension is lowered by 25 millimeters. The cabin has a 10.4-inch touchscreen display, with which you can choose between four driving modes: Valet, Sport, Track and Beast.
  • Ford does not plan to launch the Mustang Lithium into series. The company has created a prototype to demonstrate the possibilities of working with electric vehicles and test various technologies that will appear in production models. Already on November 17, Ford will unveil the first electric crossover styled as a Mustang coupe.
