Skod has unveiled a serial coupe-like crossover Kamiq GT, created for the Chinese market. He received a more striking appearance with a two-tone body paint than the soplatform Chinese Kamiq.
The SkodKamiq GT is larger than the original Kamiq crossover, but is noticeably inferior in size to the Renault Arkana. The length of the Czech coupe-crossover is 4409 mm versus 4545 mm for the Arcana, the width is 1781 mm instead of 1820 mm. On a wheelbase, the Kamiq GT is 111 mm shorter (2610 mm). Both Chinese Skodas are built on the old PQ25 platform from the Rapid liftback.
- In the basic version of the coupe-crossover, richer equipment is declared than that of the usual Kamiq: 17-inch wheels, LED optics, front seats with increased lateral support, single-zone climate control and a multimedia system with an eight-inch display. The model also offers a large selection of interior trims with GT badges.
- The coupe-crossover will offer a 110-horsepower atmospheric "four" 1.5 (the standard Chinese Kamiq is equipped only with it), as well as a 1.2-liter turbo engine with a capacity of 116 hp. (175 Nm). The base engine is combined with a five-speed manual transmission, and the older one is combined with a six-speed manual transmission. Also available for motors is an optional seven-speed "robot" with two clutches. Drive type - exclusively front.
Skod has no plans to sell the Kamiq GT outside of China. The reason is that in another important market - the European one - another Kamiq is offered, built on the more modern MQB-A0 platform from the European Volkswagen Polo.
