From November 1, the mobile application "Compulsory MTPL Assistant" has been launched in Russia, which allows you to register an accident in electronic form. It was developed by the Russian Union of Auto Insurers (RSA).
- The new service is available for drivers registered on the public services portal. In the event of an accident that falls under the rules of the European protocol (only two cars are involved in an accident, there are no injured and no serious damage), it is enough to upload photos from the accident scene and a hand-drawn diagram of the accident to the application, and the data required for the insurance will come from the application's personal account. It is assumed that the registration in a new way should take no more than 15 minutes.
- An important condition: both participants in the accident must be registered on public services. The second driver is obliged to confirm the generated draft of the accident notification through the portal. To do this, he also needs to go to the application and scan the QR code from the smartphone screen of the driver who issued the notification.
If there are pictures from the scene of the accident, you can count on compensation for damage in the amount of up to 400,000 rubles. Without them, the payment limit is reduced to 100,000 rubles.
While the application will work in five regions: Moscow, Moscow region, St. Petersburg, Leningrad region and Tatarstan. According to further plans, in 2021 the mobile service will start operating throughout Russia.
