Rosstandart announced the recall of 1,153 ToyotLand Cruiser Prado SUVs due to a possible defect in the fuel system. All recalled vehicles were sold between March 12 and April 18, 2019.
- The problematic batch of SUVs may have improperly tightened fuel pipes connecting the high pressure fuel pump to the fuel rail. Vibration can cause the tube to slide off, resulting in fuel leakage, sudden engine shutdown and an emergency.
- ToyotLand Cruiser Prado, equipped with a 177-horsepower 2.8-liter four-cylinder turbo diesel, fell under the recall campaign. On SUVs, the faulty fuel pipe will be checked and replaced if necessary. All renovation work for the owners will be free of charge.
