Almost A Million Dollars Paid For The Most Expensive Parking Space In The World

In one of the skyscrapers in Hong Kong, they bought a parking space in an underground parking lot for 7.6 million Hong Kong dollars (969,000 US dollars, or 61.95 million rubles). According to the South Chin Morning Post, it is now the most expensive parking spot in the world.

• The 12.5 square meter (five meters long and 2.5 meters wide) car deck is located in the 73-story The Center office building in the central Hong Kong area. The parking space is located on the upper level of a three-storey underground parking lot next to the main entrance and is fenced off from adjacent spaces by walls on three sides.
• The Center skyscraper itself, built in 1998, holds the title of the most expensive office building in the world. In 2017, $ 5.15 billion was paid for it. The skyscraper is the fifth tallest in the city, and its underground parking is designed for 402 cars.

Previously, the most expensive parking space in the world was a standard parking space located on the territory of the Sun Hung Kai Properties Ultima residential complex, also in Hong Kong. In 2018, 760,000 dollars (48.5 million rubles) were paid for it.
