Video: The Police Fined The Blogger For Speeding On Video From The Internet

Police officers in the British County of Derbyshire stumbled upon a video on the Internet in which an Audi R8 coupe is driving with obvious speeding on a regular two-lane road. Based on the video, they were able to fine the driver for breaking the rules. This was reported by The Drive.
- The video was shot by car blogger Joe Akilles, and he fixed an action camera outside the supercar. However, the police did not need the speedometer footage: they calculated the speed by dividing the distance traveled (it was estimated through satellite maps) by the timing of the video. It turned out that Joe was accelerating from 58 to 93 mph (93-150 km / h) in the 50 mph (80 km / h) zone.
- As a result, Joe Aquilles received a fine of 620 pounds (51.4 thousand rubles) and six points in his driver's license. According to local regulations, 12 points on the card result in forfeiture. The police harshly condemned the blogger's act - according to them, for the sake of likes on the Internet, he grossly violated the rules on one of the most dangerous sections of the road in the district.
