
Video: Renault Electric Cars Have Become Long-range Due To Hydrogen

Renault has unveiled new modifications of the Kangoo Z.E electric vans. and Master Z.E. with hydrogen fuel cells. New items, united in the Hydrogen line, are serial and will soon go on sale.

Unlike the ToyotMirai sedan, which runs only on hydrogen, Renault vans, for the first time among other electric cars, use fuel cells to increase the range of a standard power plant: from 230 to 370 kilometers for the Kangoo Z.E. and from 120 to 350 kilometers for the larger Master Z.E. The hydrogen tanks are fixed under the body and take only 5-10 minutes to refill.
- Additional equipment increases the mass of the Kangoo Z.E. Hydrogen by 110 kilograms, and in the case of Master Z.E. Hydrogen gain is 200 kilograms. The electric motor of the "heel" with a cargo compartment of 3.9 cubic meters develops 60 hp, and a 75-horsepower electric motor is installed on the van with a compartment for 20 cubic meters.
- Renault Kangoo Z.E. Hydrogen will go on sale at the end of 2019. Its cost in France will be 48,300 euros (3.42 million rubles), which is 19,900 euros (1.4 million rubles) more than the standard electric van Kangoo Z.E. Master Z.E. Hydrogen will start selling in 2020 and will be disclosed at a later date.
