

Skod has published design sketches of the Kamiq GT budget coupe-like crossover. Its forerunner was the Vision GT concept, unveiled in the summer at the Shenzhen Auto Show.


- Earlier, some information about the coupe-crossover was disclosed by the Ministry of Industry of China. The model has become larger than the Chinese version of the Kamiq crossover, but in terms of dimensions it is decently inferior to the Renault Arkana. The length of the Czech crossover is 4409 mm versus 4545 mm for Arcana, the width is 1781 mm instead of 1820 mm. The wheelbase of the Skoda is 111 mm shorter (2610 mm).

According to Autohome, which published spy shots of the SkodKamiq GT, the coupe-crossover is based on the old PQ25 platform from the Rapid liftback. The novelty will receive a 110-horsepower atmospheric "four" 1.5 (the standard Chinese Kamiq is offered only with it), as well as a 1.2-liter turbo engine with a capacity of 116 hp. (175 Nm). Drive type - exclusively front.
- SkodKamiq GT will premiere on November 4th. It is not yet known if the model will be sold outside of China. But in Europe it will not appear for sure - there will be another Kamiq, built on the more modern MQB-A0 platform from the European Volkswagen Polo.
