Australian engine company Race Cast Engineering has unveiled a 9.5-liter naturally aspirated twelve-cylinder engine. The power unit went on sale in the form of a kit, ready for installation in any car - if only there was enough space.

• The creators named their engine V12 LS, as its design is largely borrowed from the family of V8 LS lower-shaft engines of the General Motors concern. It has a cast iron block and aluminum cylinder heads. The power unit spins up to 7100 rpm, developing 765 hp in the initial version. and 941 Nm.
• The dry weight of the 9.5-liter engine without fluids is 265 kilograms. Fact of love: instead of the name of the company, the head covers of the block have the address of the site where you can order this motor. During the development, which took several years, the power unit was tested not only on a dynamometer, but also in a KiPregio minibus. And this is how it drives:

• Race Cast Engineering has already started taking orders for the huge engine. Its initial cost is 55,200 US dollars (3.53 million rubles). Also, two options are offered for the motor, for each of which they ask for $ 5,000 (320 thousand rubles): forcing a cast-iron motor to more than 1000 hp. or the creation of an engine with an aluminum block of cylinders. In the latter case, the working volume is reduced to 9.2 liters, and the dry weight is reduced to 191 kilograms.
