The updated compact crossover ToyotC-HR debuted in Japan. Like the global version, the restyling mainly affected the exterior and the multimedia system, but in the home market, the sports division Gazoo Racing prepared the GR Sport version for the model.
- The ToyotC-HR GR Sport is easily distinguished from the standard crossover by its aggressive bumpers, 19-inch wheels of the original design and four pipes of the exhaust system. Inside, there is a new three-spoke steering wheel, front seats with developed lateral support and aluminum pedals.
Technical changes to the GR Sport version include stiffer springs and shock absorbers, thicker anti-roll bars, a retuned power steering and an additional power steering under the floor.
- All ToyotC-HRs in Japan, including the GR Sport modification, are equipped with a choice of a 115-horsepower 1.2-liter turbo engine or a 122-horsepower hybrid with a naturally aspirated 1.8 and two electric motors. A new hybrid modification with a two-liter engine and two electric motors with a total capacity of 184 hp. for the home market has not yet been announced. All options are still front-wheel drive only.
The basic ToyotC-HR on the Japanese market costs 2,367,000 yen (1.39 million rubles), and for the GR Sport crossover they ask for a minimum of 2,732,000 yen (1.61 million rubles).
