Images of several parts registered by the UAZ company appeared in the open database of Rospatent. It is possible that they will be put on a new SUV, which should debut in 2020.

Of the exterior details, the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant has so far patented only the headlights. Judging by their configuration, they are fully LED, including turn signals, low and high beams. On the current models of the brand, conventional halogen lamps are used in the front optics.
- A large central tunnel will appear in the cabin of the new UAZ SUV. It contains cup holders with a closing curtain, an automatic transmission control lever, an electric parking brake button, an armrest, as well as ventilation deflectors, a cigarette lighter and USB connectors for rear passengers.
- Basic versions of the novelty will receive a simple audio system with one knob for adjustment, and in more expensive trim levels there will be multimedia with a touch screen.
The new SUV will retain its frame structure and will be seriously upgraded to improve safety. The car will receive atmospheric and turbocharged "fours" running on gasoline and gas, as well as a 2.2-liter diesel of the Duratorq family from Ford Transit, since the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant belongs to the Sollers company, which produces Ford commercial vehicles in Russia.
