The Czech Volkswagen fan club has managed to gain access to the eighth generation Golf hatchback, which has yet to be officially unveiled. The model will premiere on October 24 at a special event in Wolfsburg.

- The new Volkswagen Golf can be distinguished from its predecessor by its new headlamps with an elongated top, a narrow radiator grille and body-colored inserts in the front bumper air intake. The rest of the model has retained the corporate design.
-
There are more changes in the cabin. On the front panel, two large monitors are located side by side - a digital dashboard and a multimedia system screen. The physical buttons remained only on the new steering wheel and near the gear selector.
- The lighting control unit has lost the rotary handle, which has been installed on the model since the third generation. It was replaced with touch keys. Judging by the official sketches, the model's DSG robot selector will also change: it will become more compact.
- According to preliminary data, the new Golf will be built on an upgraded version of the modular MQB platform. The motor range will include gasoline, diesel and gas engines, as well as hybrids - with a 48-volt electrical system and rechargeable from a household network with an enlarged battery.
