Hinged Trunk Created For Lada Largus

The Russian company Shuttle box, which produces hinged roof racks, was the first to create such an accessory for the LadLargus model. Now the box is undergoing a certification procedure so that when it is installed on a car, it is not required to make changes to the TCP.

• The two-piece hinged rack is made of fiberglass reinforced plastic. Outside, it has duplicate lights taken from the standard Largus, and a backlit room area. There is no decoration inside the box, but the total volume of the two compartments is 800 liters. For comparison: the trunk of the five-seater Largus holds 560 liters, and when the second row is folded down - 2350 liters.
• The box is mounted on the C-pillars and an additional lower support. According to the developers, such a design does not increase drag and has little effect on the car's center of gravity, since its weight is 40 kilograms, and the carrying capacity is another hundred.
• The cost of a hinged rack for LadLargus is 55,500 rubles, and another 13,000 rubles is for painting the box in body color. Other unpriced options include interior trim, lighting, rearview camera and parking sensors.
