Volkswagen has introduced the Atlas Cross Sport coupe-like crossover in the United States, which is based on the seven-seat Atlas. The standard American-made model is supplied to Russia under the name Teramont.
Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport differs in optics and bumpers not only from the standard Atlas, but also from the Teramont X, created for the Chinese market and presented in the spring. The novelty is 71 mm (4965 mm) shorter than the standard crossover, and 56 mm lower (1713 mm). The width and wheelbase have not changed - 1989 and 2980 mm, respectively.
- The coupe-crossover lacks the third row of seats, but the rest of the interior has changed slightly. There was a different steering wheel with a new logo, and the 12.3-inch digital dashboard was replaced with a 10.25-inch one. Options include 21-inch wheels, wireless charging for smartphones, traffic sign recognition, and adaptive cruise control has a full stop function.
- The range of engines has not changed. Both Atlas are available with a 238 hp two-liter turbo four. or 280-strong aspirated VR6 3.6. All engines are gasoline, combined with an eight-speed "automatic".
The Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport will go on sale in the US in Spring 2020. It is not yet known whether we will have a model.
