We don't know about fire, but these cool things are definitely not afraid of water. They have strange names, wild bodies and huge potential for off-road driving, rivers and even seas. From Russia - with love, invention and four-wheel drive. Here they are, the machines that can. Everywhere and always.

Thanks to Youtube: the Russian-Ukrainian "Sherpa" is known far beyond the borders of the two countries. Seven years ago, designer Alexei Gargashyan came up with an all-terrain vehicle with a cunning air suspension, which is not afraid of dirt, ford, or steep climbs. Later, the rights were bought by a Ukrainian company and decently improved the structure and design. Even cooler is the fact that the product turned out to be original: the faceted 3.4-meter Sherpa has no overhangs, the door to the salon is located on the nose, and the 1.5-liter diesel engine, despite 44 forces, naturally drags, allowing it to develop 6 km / h on the water and if desired, go directly to the ice floes.

"Kerzhak"

The North Russian Old Believers used to be called Kerzhaks, but now this name has gone to the mighty snow and swamp-going vehicle of the TransMash company. The basis, more precisely, the cabin, is from the GAZelle, but it is not it that catches the eye immediately, but the “duck” boat nose, which is the first to meet the water when the “Kerzhak” is swimming. Massive pneumatic tires have a large contact patch and, due to the ultra-low pressure, almost do not harm the soil. In tundra conditions, where the flora is especially defenseless, this is a strong quality of any all-terrain vehicle.

A huge plus of the six-wheeled TRECOL from Lyubertsy near Moscow: it can be bought in pink! However, this five million all-terrain vehicle has a bunch of other advantages: it is simple, reliable, very stylish and terribly passable. The 8- or 14-seat design (Husky model) is based on an original welded frame on which an interesting aluminum body is installed. The engine can be chosen: either a gasoline ZMZ-409, or a supercharged diesel from Hyundai. And there, and there a little more than 100 horsepower. You won't be able to drive on a four-ton TRECOL, but you can crawl on six wheels for a long time.

"Marches" from the Togliatti company "Bronto" are perhaps the most famous Russian all-terrain vehicles: their history began in the 90s. Under the Niva's body, lifted up into the sky, there is unsuccessfully hiding an all-wheel drive base with a spring suspension from the UAZ and 1.2-meter tires fixed to the disks with beadlock bolts. The standard "VAZ" motor "Marsha" is reliably protected from below by a sheet of metal. Although with a ground clearance of half a meter, such protection may seem superfluous.

The name of this cheerful-looking product of the capital company "Arctictrans" has nothing to do with propellers and blades. The same - and with an emphasis on "a" - is called the Moscow region river. Of course, the off-road "Lopasnya" can also float: due to the sealed body and large tires with low pressure. And there is also a long-travel (380 mm) suspension that does not transmit vibrations to the passenger compartment. On the icy ridges of the Arctic "Lopasnya" can travel at a speed of 35 km / h. Actually, the all-terrain vehicle was created for these conditions.

Just one fact: the British TopGear once annealed on the eight-wheeled "Shaman" from the "Avtoros" company. At the same time, the car itself looks more like a transport plane or a space shuttle - especially from the inside. The number of buttons, levers and sensors is a consequence of the complexity of the design. All eight driving wheels of the "Shaman" can turn, and the suspension of each of them is completely independent. The body is insulated and is not afraid of water, and in case of possible flooding, the water will be pumped out by powerful pumps. If desired, you can install a propeller at the back and greatly increase the speed on the water. And most importantly, the six-meter "Shaman" is legal on the roads: it is convenient and easy to drive it, and the three-liter 146-horsepower Iveco turbodiesel makes it possible to accelerate to 70 km / h.

"Burlak"

Well, if an advanced "Shaman" takes on technology, then on the side of the all-terrain vehicle "Burlak" - reliable hardware and invention. The "bottom" of a large 7.4-meter long machine is a mix of a boat frame, a 150-horsepower Cummins 2.8 diesel engine, a five-speed "mechanics", powerful final drives and giant wheels with a displacement of 1.3 tons each. And the insulated body, designed for the conditions of the Arctic, is a real home on wheels. Depending on the version, there is space for ten people inside, a living unit, a kitchen, a shower and sleeping places. The Burlak's ground clearance is simply enormous: 750 millimeters. If desired, bending down, you can walk directly under the machine without hitting your head with the built-in (optional) propeller.
