The Updated Skoda Rapid Will Celebrate The World Premiere In Russia

Skod has published the first design sketch of the SkodRapid liftback, which has undergone the second major update in its seven-year history. It was announced that the world premiere of the model will take place in Russia at the end of 2019.

• Judging by the image, the Rapid for the Russian market will not differ externally from the version for China. Earlier, the certification bodies of the Celestial Empire posted photos of the future novelty in open access.

• The exterior of the updated liftback will be made in the style of the SkodScala hatchback, presented at the end of 2018 and replacing the Rapid model in Europe. Due to the bumpers of the new shape, the length of the SkodRapid has grown by 29 millimeters (up to 4512 mm).
• It is already known that the technical part of the Chinese Rapid will not have any changes. It can also happen with us. In China, SkodRapid is equipped with a 1.5-liter naturally-aspirated 110 hp engine, and in the Russian market, the model is available with an atmospheric 1.6 90 and 110 hp, as well as a 125 hp 1.4-liter turbo engine.
