Jokes Aside: A Giant Combat Robot Powered By A Corvette Is On Sale

Californian company Megabot, which creates robots for participation in special battles, has decided to sell its coolest creation called Eagle Prime. The ad was posted on the eBay online auction.

• The Eagle Prime is 4.9 meters high and weighs about 15 tons. The robot can ride on tracks, crouch, shoot and grab objects with a huge metal claw, and the whole economy is powered by a 436-horsepower V8 from the Chevrolet Corvette. Replaceable bucket and drill bits are also available. A huge monster is controlled from the inside with the help of a person.
• The robot took part in only a few battles, after which the Megabot company went bankrupt due to little interest in such shows and was forced to put the property up for sale. According to the creators, Eagle Prime has problems with tracks, which cost $ 7,000 to repair, and a hydraulic leak appears every four hours.
• Megabot spent $ 2.5 million (162.8 million rubles) on the creation of Eagle Prime, and the current bid at the auction is $ 170,700 (11.08 million rubles).
