The Government Has Determined The Conditions For Obtaining Compensation For Waste Collection

The government announced the concept of a subsidy differentiation program to compensate for the scrappage fee of automakers. The amount of state support will depend on the degree of localization of production, but the final conditions of the program should be agreed and announced by the government and carmakers before October 15, Kommersant reports.

The minimum that automakers who have signed special investment contracts (SPIC) and localized the processes of welding and painting of bodies, as well as assembly (that is, all participants in the SPIC) will receive, is compensation in the amount of 60%. The rest of the subsidies will be paid depending on additional obligations to localize production. Companies that have scored 6.8 thousand points (for cars) under the SPIC can count on 100% compensation.

The funds received from the government are planned to be invested in the program of import substitution of automotive components. In total, about 120 billion rubles a year are allocated to subsidize producers under the SPIC.
