Renault Has Released A Budget Electric Car At The Price Of The New Grants

Renault has announced the start of sales of the City K-ZE electric car, built on the basis of the Kwid hatchback. So far, the novelty is available only in China, where, taking into account government subsidies, it costs from 8700 to 10100 dollars (560-650 thousand rubles), depending on the configuration. In Russia for this amount you can buy a new LadGrant in the Luxe version.

• The dimensions of the Renault City K-ZE are comparable to the Ravon R2. The electric vehicle is 3735 mm long, 1580 mm wide, and has a wheelbase of 2423 mm. Compared to the gasoline Kwid, the ground clearance has been reduced from 180 to 150 mm due to the installation of a traction battery under the floor of the passenger compartment, but the volume of the 300-liter trunk remains the same.
• An electric motor located on the front axle develops 45 hp. (125 Nm). The maximum speed of a hatchback with a curb weight of 921 kilograms is 105 km / h. The battery with a capacity of 26.8 kWh provides a power reserve of 271 kilometers on the NEDC metering cycle. It fully charges from a household outlet in four hours.
• The City K-ZE has two airbags and anti-lock brakes. Options include air conditioning and a multimedia system with an eight-inch touchscreen display.

Renault City K-ZE is manufactured at the Dongfeng plant in Shiyan. Its annual capacity is 120 thousand vehicles. Later, the electric car will go on sale in the European market.
