The Chinese company Geely showed the first image of the Icon crossover, which in the same form is about to go into mass production. The commercial vehicle outwardly almost completely repeats the concept of the same name, which debuted in 2018.
Geely Icon is built on the BMA platform, which the company developed in conjunction with Volvo. According to certification data from the Chinese Ministry of Industry, the crossover is 4,350 millimeters long - 169 millimeters shorter than the Atlas. The wheelbase of the novelty is also smaller - 2640 mm versus 2670 mm.
- The Icon engine range will include a petrol 1.5-liter "turbo-engine" with a capacity of 177 hp, which is still installed on the Volvo XC40. The engine is combined with a seven-speed "robot" with two clutches and front-wheel drive.
- In China, sales of Geely Icon will begin before the end of 2019. Whether the crossover will appear in other countries is still unknown.
