Video: Unusual (black!) DeLorean Sold For The Price Of A New Kia Crossover

The American Bring Trailer auction announced the end of the auction for the 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 in an unusual black color. The final price was $ 31,751 (RUB 2.02 million). In Russia, for this amount, you can buy a new KiSportage in almost the maximum configuration of the GT Line.

-
The DeLorean DMC-12, which became iconic after the Back to the Future trilogy, has a stainless steel body, which is why all cars produced from 1981 to 1983 were gray. However, this specimen was first painted pink and later black.
- Sold at auction, DeLorean traveled only 5900 miles (9295 kilometers) in 38 years and spent most of his life in a private collection. The previous owner spared no expense for repairs - over the past two years, he replaced parts of the fuel and brake systems, window lifters, air conditioners, ignition and cooling systems, and also carried out full maintenance.
- The technical part of the black DeLorean DMC-12 remained standard. Behind the seats is a 2.85-liter V6 petrol with 132 hp. (207 Nm). The atmospheric engine is combined with a five-speed "mechanics" and rear-wheel drive transmission.
