Automobile companies with production facilities in Russia will receive various subsidies from the government aimed at compensating for waste collection. The new payment terms are promised to be worked out by September 28, writes Kommersant.
The essence of the system of differentiated subsidies is that producers with a low level of localization of products will be reduced the amount of industrial subsidies - but to a level that will preserve the profitability of production, because it is mainly for this purpose that foreign concerns entered into special investment contracts.
The funds received to compensate for waste collection are planned to be invested in the program of import substitution of components for traditionally Russian car manufacturers. In total, about 120 billion rubles a year are allocated to subsidize producers under the SPIC.
AvtoVAZ (including the Renault-Nissan alliance), GAZ Group, KamAZ, Hyundai and Volkswagen are in favor of creating a system of differentiated subsidies.
Discussion of the new subsidy system will take place during a government meeting with automakers in Sochi, scheduled for September 28.
