Certification documents for the large seven-seat GAC GS8 crossover have appeared in the Rosstandart database. It will be one of the first models with which the Chinese company GAC Motor will enter the Russian market.

• The size of the GAC GS8 is comparable to ToyotHighlander and HondPilot. The length of the Chinese crossover is 4836 mm, the width is 1910 mm, and the height is 1770 mm. The wheelbase is 2800 mm. The diameter of the rims is 17 or 18 inches.

• For Russia, only one engine has been proposed - a two-liter "turbo four" with a capacity of 190 hp. (300 Nm), designed to use AI-92 gasoline. The motor is combined with a six-speed "automatic" Aisin, and the drive can be front or full with a rear axle connected by a BorgWarner multi-plate clutch.
• The GS8's equipment list includes front, side and knee airbags, stability control, climate control, tire pressure monitoring, adaptive cruise control and all-round cameras.

The certification documents for the GAC GS8 went into effect on September 17, 2019, but a sales start date has yet to be announced.
